What is Skype Connect?

Skype Connect™ provides connectivity between your business and the Skype community. By adding Skype Connect to S-Series VoIP PBX, your business could save on your communication costs with little or no additional upgrades required.

Why configure S-Series VoIP PBX with Skype ConnectTM?

Once the Skype SIP trunk is registered on S-Series, you are able to receive Skype calls on your office phones and make low cost calls on S-Series through the Skype SIP trunk. Customers can also contact your business for free by using Skype through Skype buttons, by calling the Skype business accounts associated with your S-Series VoIP PBX, and by dialing any Skype Numbers you may have purchased, making your company easier to reach.

All mobile, landline and Skype calls to a Skype number will be received by S-Series VoIP PBX and handled like any other call, which means that Call queuing, Call Forwarding, Call Transfer and all the additional features are available with S-Series VoIP PBX.

How to get started?

Before getting Skype Connect, you need to set up your Skype Manager first. Once you’re signed in to Skype Manager, you are now ready to use Skype Connect and can:

  • Create SIP Profiles
  • Buy Channel Subscriptions
  • Allocate Skype Credit to SIP Profiles
  • Set up inbound calling using Skype accounts
  • Set up inbound calling using Skype Numbers
  • Start Calling

  1. Hello!

Support for Skype Connect will end on November 10, 2021. You can no longer make or receive calls through Skype Connect services connected to your SIP-enabled internal telephone network.

We have several Sip Skype numbers (British and American).
How do we connect Sip Skype numbers without the Skype Connect service?
