Yeastar P-Series Phone System supports to configure two-factor authentication (2FA) for super administrator account. With 2FA enabled, both the account password and an additional authentication code are required for login. By requiring users to add a second factor to their authentication flow, 2FA verifies user identity and strengthens system security.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) serves as a fundamental component of the zero trust security model, providing enhanced protection against various attacks such as password reuse, poorly encrypted passwords, social engineering, and leaked databases. Even if an account’s password is compromised, 2FA ensures that unauthorized access is still prevented. What are the authentication methods of 2FA?


A.Two-factor authentication by authenticator application

Install an authenticator app on your mobile phone, the supported apps include Google Authenticator, FreeOTP, Twilio Authy, and Microsoft Authenticator.

Add your account to the app to generate authentication codes. When logging in to the super administrator account, both your password and the authentication code are required.

B.Two-factor authentication by Email

Receive authentication codes via the email associated with the super administrator account. When logging in, both account password and the authentication code are required.
