Frequently Asked Questions

What is Yeastar Beta Program & who can join?

.

The Yeastar Beta Program provides a simple and safe way to try upcoming P-Series features using firmware that has cleared our internal & alpha stage quality checks. We rely on your feedback from broad, real-world testing to help us deliver an even better product.

The program is open to all Yeastar P-Series PBX users, including distributors and resellers, who would like to explore new capabilities early and share feedback to help improve future releases.

What is General Availability (GA) version?

.

The General Availability (GA) version is the final, fully-tested release that is ready for use in a production environment. It includes all features and improvements from the Beta version and is considered stable and ready for all users.

How do I get Beta firmware?

.

You can access Beta firmware directly from your PBX admin portal by checking for firmware updates, or download it here for offline installation. Please note that only the latest Beta version is available. Previous Beta builds will be replaced once the corresponding GA version is released.

Which P-Series editions can join the Beta Program?

.

All P-Series editions are supported in the Beta Program! This includes Appliance models, Software Edition, and Cloud Edition. No matter which P-Series product you use, you can participate and get early access to upcoming features, explore new capabilities, and share feedback to help improve the product.

How do I get help with Beta issues?

.

If you run into any issues while using the Beta firmware, please share your feedback here or through your usual Yeastar support channel. Our team will review your feedback and address issues in subsequent updates. Your input plays an important role in improving stability and overall product quality.

When will the GA version be available?

.

We cannot provide an exact release date for the General Availability (GA) version. The GA release will be available as soon as Beta feedback is analyzed and improvements are implemented. Typically, GA becomes available after the final Beta has been running stably for around 3 to 4 weeks.

What does the Version name (e.g, P-Series V22.3) mean?

.

The version name is simply a short, easy way to identify a product release. We have long used these Version names internally to group related firmware builds. Starting with V22.3, we are now making this naming visible to P-Series PBX customers so it's easier to see which firmware builds belong to the same release.

Each VXX.X represents a specific version of the product, and all Beta and GA firmware released under that label belong to the same version. For example:

  • P-Series V22.3 (Beta): early access builds for feature preview and feedback.
  • P-Series V22.3 (GA): the stable, final release of the same version.
